Before You Board
Everything you
might be wondering.
If your question isn't answered here, call or message us — a real person will reply the same day.
Booking
During peak season (July–August) tours can fill weeks ahead. Outside peak, a few days' notice is usually enough. Private charters we recommend booking as early as possible.
Safety comes first. If we cannot sail safely, we rebook you free of charge to another date that suits — or refund in full.
Yes — children are very welcome. For whale watching we recommend a minimum age of 4, and we carry life jackets in every size.
On Board
Whale watching is approximately three hours from boarding to return. Private charters are shaped to your day.
We don't provide food on whale watching trips — bring your own water and snacks. Catering can be arranged for private charters and river cruises.
The Ballina RSL Floating Pontoon, directly in front of the RSL Boardwalk. Free parking at the Ballina RSL Club.
Wildlife
During season we sight whales on almost every voyage. In the rare event of no sighting we offer a free rebook.
We follow Australian regulations — we let the whales approach us. In practice they very often do, sometimes closer than the boat is long.
Accessibility
Yes — from step-free boarding at the pontoon through to accessible restroom facilities on board.
