Cori, Manager and Co-founder of Ballina Byron Marine Adventures, was raised in Lennox Head, where her lifelong connection to the ocean passion began early. Growing up surfing, exploring the coastline, and embracing an active outdoor lifestyle, Cori developed a deep appreciation for the sea, the waves, and the local knowledge of everything this region has to offer.

Now raising a family in Ballina, Cori continues to share her passion for surfing and life on the water, while highlighting the beauty of the Northern Rivers coast and the lifestyle she cherished during her upbringing.

With the sea in her blood and adventure all around her, she’s proudly part of the next generation crew and embodies future captain material.

Ellie Cameron

Marine Biologist and Skipper Ellie was raised in the Northern Rivers, fostering a deep ocean passion from an early age. Growing up surfing and exploring the local coastline, Ellie has dedicated the past six years to studying and working on the water. With a Master’s degree in Marine Biology and research experience in remote Western Australia, she has recently returned home to inspire appreciation for the incredible marine life and biodiversity available through Ballina Byron Marine Adventures. Ellie also shares her local knowledge by Skippering and guiding guests on unforgettable scuba diving experiences in Byron Bay. Her passion for sharing knowledge and love for the ocean ensures that every guest onboard has an incredible encounter with wildlife.

Emma Pegg

Originally from Aotearoa (New Zealand), Emma moved to the Northern Rivers several years ago, drawn by the region’s spectacular coastline and vibrant marine life. As a passionate marine biologist and environmental scientist, Emma brings her local knowledge to her role as an underwater photographer and experienced marine wildlife guide. After recently completing a lap of Australia, she dedicated several years to exploring the country’s coast through diving, surfing, photography, and conservation work. As part of the Ballina Byron Marine Adventures team, Emma loves helping guests connect with the whales, dolphins, turtles, and other incredible wildlife found along the Ballina and Byron Bay coastline. She is passionate about inspiring a deeper appreciation and care for our oceans and waterways.

Zoe White

Zoe knew from a young age that her ocean passion would shape her life. After her first scuba dive, she quickly enrolled in back-to-back courses, becoming a Dive Instructor at just 19 and securing her first position with Byron Bay Dive Centre and Byron Bay Whale Watching. Her enthusiasm for the ocean intensified while exploring Nguthungulli and the stunning Ballina Byron coastline.

This passion soon transformed into a strong commitment to marine conservation, prompting her to earn a Bachelor of Marine Science and Management and collaborate with various marine conservation organizations. Today, she manages fish habitat restoration projects with OzFish Unlimited along the North Coast, focusing on oyster reef, seagrass, riparian, and wetland restoration initiatives that reflect her local knowledge.

Nothing makes Zoe happier than being out on the water, sharing unforgettable encounters with whales, and inspiring others to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the marine environment.
